Dr. Randy Ritz makes leaders and workers more effective by changing the way they communicate. He has energized speakers to walk into board rooms, strategic planning sessions and shareholders meetings with confidence. These are the arenas where vision can be translated into powerful stories that win over audiences. His specialty is helping professionals and workers in entertainment, sports and business, those who need to get their message across with clarity and passion.

Randy is no stranger to leadership. At Concordia University College, a private institution, he was the driving force behind the design, implementation and accreditation of each and every theatre course now offered. Over twenty-five years this successful program has established scores of young professionals as influential communicators. As a theatre director Randy is accountable for budget, choice of script, cast, costume, lighting, set design and publicity. Within six weeks he shapes the creative choices of 25 actors into a cohesive production that thrills audiences.

As a Communicator, Dr. Ritz has forged his way to elite levels presenting before national and international audiences—some as large as 6000 listeners. He has the expertise of a master storyteller and has shared the stage with the likes of Tony Campolo(advisor to President Clinton) and George Merritt (nominee for best actor in a Broadway musical).

Dr. Ritz brings a depth to his communication expertise by telling stories in many mediums. He is a “published in the US” author, a produced playwright and a Nashville recording artist. He just completed producing his second independent feature film, a supernatural thriller, called Unfinished Business that has secured distribution in Europe. Randy is also the author of Act it Out (Standard Publishing) and The Secret Life of the Public Speaker.

Olympic cyclist Lori-Ann Muenzer invited Randy to craft her storytelling—to share the glory of her gold medal ride. She is now a top “sports keynoter” in Canada. Among others, Randy coached Hollywood actor Nathan Fillion (Saving Private Ryan and star of Castle) as he embarked on this acting career.

Randy is on the board of the “Canadian Association of Professional Speakers” in Edmonton and “Arts on the Avenue”, a nationally recognized artists’ movement that is changing the social landscape of Edmonton communities. In his spare time, he fronts a blues trio as the lead guitarist of Dr. Blu.
