Colin MacLean is one of Alberta’s best known and most distinguished television and radio broadcasters. He is an outstanding journalist, arts critic, movie reviewer and raconteur. He is also the recipient of the notable International Ohio Award for radio drama.

In his career with CBC spanning over 35 years, Colin has interviewed many silver screen celebrities, high ranking politicians, and high achievers in every field. He has acted as a Producer for numerous shows including the "Tommy Banks Show" and "Stompin’ Tom’s Canada". He also been the anchor for "Reach for the Top" and many current affairs programmes with CBC Edmonton AM. In his CBC Newsworld feature, "Colin’s Hollywood", he interviewed the top names in show business today including Arnold Schwarzenegger (current Governor of California), Harrison Ford, Sean Connery, Jody Foster, Woody Allen, Ton Hanks, Demi Moore, Ashley Judd and many more. In 2005, Colin had the distinct honour of acting as the Master of Ceremonies for the Command Performance of Alberta’s 100th Anniversary Celebrations featuring Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

Colin is an affable, warm, outspoken and articulate and humourous presenter. With a background in acting and his formal education in radio and television arts from Ryerson, he is knowledgeable in all aspects of the broadcast business and current affairs.

Colin MacLean is currently an independent artist, broadcaster, and journalist. He resides in Edmonton. He is married to Halia and has four beautiful daughters.
