After growing up in a family business, Rob entered the world of business-to-business sales in advertising &
publishing in 1986, successfully launching a new product and exceeding all sales projections. Realizing he was on
to something with this sales thing, Rob returned to his roots in the hospitality industry and soon became the
Director of Sales & Marketing for a local hotel & convention centre by the time he was only 24.
In 1990 (during the last recession) Rob went into professional, commission-based sales with international office
equipment leader, Pitney Bowes where he had a successful run as a full-line sales representative, Sales Team
Manager and eventually directing his own sales territory in addition to managing and coaching the sales reps in his
Ever the entrepreneur, Rob simultaneously started MailRite Marketing Services, a full-service direct mail and
relationship marketing firm which soon became the market leader through a combination of outstanding customer
service, leading-edge concepts and technology and Rob’s highly effective targeted marketing efforts. As well, Rob
has taught direct marketing and relationship selling to business students at the college level.
Rob grew his career in the office equipment business until he was an owner in the region’s largest office equipment
and furniture dealership with nearly 3,000 customers, 40 employees and $10,000,000 million in annual sales.
Today, through his consulting company, TIP unLTD Strategic Sales & Marketing Solutions, Rob works with
entrepreneurs, sales professionals and business leaders who understand that the key to lasting success in businessto-
business sales is the creation, development and sustainability of Customer Equity.
