Wondrous Women
A celebration of feminine resilience
A powerful inspiring keynote or workshop.

Women have stepped out of their girdles to accomplish much. Global TV and the YWCA’s Women of Vision award acknowledges women’s achievements. Patricia Morgan is a recipient who rejected the expectation to be a nice lady. Indeed seldom do well behaved and proper ladies make history or effect needed change. It takes a woman of courage, a woman of action, a woman who is willing to say “yes,” “no” or “it depends” to make the world right. It is women who are pulling their countries out of poverty using the micro-finance movement. It is women who read to their children. It is women who do the world’s real work of caring for the disadvantaged, the sick and the children.

Learn, as a Canadian woman, what you share with such heroes as Nellie McClung. The story of the Famous 5 is uniquely Canadian and celebrates the 1929 announcement, “Women are persons.” It’s important to acknowledge our accomplishments, leadership ability and resilience. Join this session to speak well of yourself, count your blessings, and celebrate all that you do and all that you are.

You and your group will be ready to:

  • Follow your passion: As Nellie McClung said, “Never retract, never explain, never apologize—get the thing done and let them howl.”
  • Express gratitude: As Irene Parlby said, “Learn that happiness comes from simple things—a job well done, the beauty of nature all around you, and real friends you make.”
  • Value your women friends: As Nellie McClung said, “What monument does any of us want . . . a few friends who knew us well, when they come together, may speak lovingly of us when their thoughts run upon old times?”
  • Speak out and stand up for your values: As Irene Parlby said, “Women need to be more impatient.”
  • Demonstrate courage and take action: As Emily Murphy said, “I feel equal to high and splendid braveries!”
  • Use your strengths and gifts: As Louise McKinney said, “The purpose of a woman’s life is the same as a man’s, to make the best possible contribution to the generation in which she is living.”
  • Value and affirm yourself: As Nellie McClung said, “Women who set a low value on themselves make life hard for all women.”

“Your session had everyone feeling ready to tackle the world. We want you to come back.” Karen Gariepy, Women’s Wellness Conference
